mama knows.

Being Marley's mama means knowing to share your fruit with him. If you don't want to share, it's best to eat it in hiding or be ready to face the sad bottom lip.

Being Marley's mama means knowing he likes when you blow rasberry's on his belly, but not too many. That has the opposite effect.

Being Marley's mama means knowing he will want to play with your laptop or phone, which ever one you are holding.

Being Marley's mama means knowing that if you pretend to eat his feet, he will giggle endlessly.

Being Marley's mama means knowing that sometimes he'll need me a few times in the night. And sometimes he won't need me at all. I'm not sure which is better.

Being Marley's mama means knowing he will try to eat the one piece of white fluff you missed when vacuuming.

Being Marley's mama means knowing when he yells really loud on the Jolly Jumper, it's because he wants to you to dance for him. Yes.

Being Marley's mama means knowing he will try with all his might to wriggle away from you when you're trying to dress him. That's why sometimes he only wears a nappy.

Being Marley's mama means knowing he likes to play his xylophone with his feet while he sits in his bumbo seat watching baby eintsein. I have no idea how we figured this one out.

Being Marley's mama means knowing he spent his time in my womb with his hands above his head, and has proceeded to sleep that way ever since.

Being Marley's mama means knowing when he bangs the high chair tray with his little fist, it's because he wants a sip of water.

Being Marley's mama means knowing that he's growing up. Every day he gets bigger, stronger, more independent. Everyday we learn new things about each other. Everyday my heart is full of joy, because being Marley's mama means knowing a special kind of love that is just for us.
